Why were Giving Nature® herbs created?
The Giving Nature® brand of herbal formulas was created to provide people with easy-to-use herbal alternatives to over-the-counter pharmaceuticals for commonly experienced health ailments.
In China, and throughout Asia, there is a wide range of commonly used formulas available to the general consumer to use as home remedies. Giving Nature® herbal formulas are rooted in this tradition, making this simple yet potent form of treatment more readily available in the West.
How are Giving Nature® herbs made?
Giving Nature® Herbal Formulas use organic and wild-harvested herbs whenever possible, with attention to environmental sustainability. Some of our herbs are grown and harvested in China, with rigorous laboratory testing to verify their purity.
Giving Nature® herbal tinctures are manufactured in the U.S., under strict GMP standards. Herbs are tested in a U.S. lab to ensure they are free from microbial, chemical, and heavy metal contamination.
What is an herbal tincture?
An herbal tincture is an alcohol-based extract of whole herbs. This extraction process allows us to concentrate the active ingredients in the herbs for ease of use.
Herbs can be administered in other forms such as powders, tablets, or "teas." The tincture is easy to take and easy to assimilate. We formulated our products as tinctures in response to requests by patients in our clinic.
How are Giving Nature® herbs used?
The suggested use is to place two droppersful in water, and take twice daily. The water is mostly used to dilute the taste and is not required. Therefore, you can use as much - or as little - water as you like. The relatively small amount of alcohol is diluted in the water.
These formulas can be taken as needed. For example:
- When fighting Colds and Flu, you can take the formula up to 5 times daily. With a sore throat you may want to try taking the formula directly (undiluted in water) so it coats your throat.
- When suffering from hayfever symptoms, you can take Allergy Formula as needed to quell the symptoms.
- Insomnia Formula may be taken before bed (once per day) instead of twice daily. Or, you may take it during the day to help relieve symptoms of anxiety.
Giving Nature® herbal formulas are based on traditional remedies in use for centuries. They are broadly applicable for common transient conditions and need not be taken long term.
